Google, yelp, bing, BBB, these tools are all available to the general public free of charge. But wait! Positive reviews don’t always mean real reviews. Recently we had a customer reach out to us who had done some homework and quickly caught a local company having its sales associates and employees leaving multiple fake positive reviews on line in an attempt to make itself look like outstanding company.
The client who contacted us told us they did some simple online google searches of the names of people who had left reviews for one particular company only to have those names pop up in a search that revealed them to be associates of the company itself. So now what ?
#2 Direct contact information: Ask for contact Availability from previous customers. In many cases a reputable company will have many happy and satisfied customers who will be willing to give a good recommendation to a new customer inquiring about a company. We ask our customers if we can use them as a reference for new customers who might want to ask them a few questions about our service and reliability. 80% of our business comes from word of mouth referrals from our satisfied customers.

In 99.9% of those cases customers have been mislead and didn’t find out until that first bill arrived. By then the sales consultant and the company had already changed names, changed phone numbers and disappeared.

3. They say there is no displacement for knowledge. We were installing solar when solar wasn’t popular. We’ve watched the technology change, we’ve watched the efficiency grow drastically. At one point we even manufactured our own racking because there was no one else making pre-Manufactured solar racking.
